1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BandScore (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

BandScore is an AI-powered test preparation platform that provides mock exams and practice materials for IELTS and TOEFL. The Service includes AI-based scoring and feedback on Writing and Speaking sections.

Important: BandScore is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to British Council, IDP Education, Cambridge Assessment, or Educational Testing Service (ETS). IELTS is a registered trademark jointly owned by University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, British Council, and IDP Education Australia. TOEFL and TOEFL iBT are registered trademarks of ETS.

3. AI Scoring Disclaimer

All scores provided by BandScore are estimated scores generated by artificial intelligence for educational and practice purposes only. These scores are not official IELTS or TOEFL scores and should not be treated as such.

BandScore does not guarantee any specific result on an actual IELTS or TOEFL examination. Estimated scores may differ from actual exam results. Users acknowledge and accept this inherent limitation of AI-based assessment.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.

5. Subscriptions and Payment

Paid subscriptions are billed through our payment processor, Paddle. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges at the selected interval. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

6. Refund Policy

If you are not satisfied with the Service, you may request a refund within 14 days of your initial purchase. Refund requests should be sent to support@bandscore.ai. Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Share your account credentials with others
• Reproduce, distribute, or publicly display test content from the Service
• Use automated tools to scrape or collect data from the Service
• Attempt to reverse-engineer the AI scoring system
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

8. Intellectual Property

All content, test materials, and AI models used in the Service are the property of BandScore or its licensors. User-submitted content (essays, recordings) remains the property of the user but may be processed by our AI systems for scoring purposes.

9. Limitation of Liability

BandScore is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to reliance on estimated scores for educational or immigration decisions.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
